Newma Power Systems (Newma), formally Complete Communications, was founded in 2002. We are happy to announce that we are fully rebranded and operating as Newma Power Systems Incorporated. Owner Chris Newman says, “Becoming Newma Power not only encapsulates more of what we do but also reflects a professional family-oriented business we are trying to build with our employees.”
We are a fully licensed, bonded, and insured electrical contractor primarily operating throughout the Vancouver lower mainland, Vancouver Island, and the sea-to-sky corridor. Our primary markets are residential, commercial, strata, and light industrial. However, we have customers from all over the province calling on their expertise in electrical, communications, automation, and renewable energy systems.
Newma strives to employ talent we can empower with the ability to make their own decisions that will lead to the best outcomes for the client and the company. Friendly, approachable, honest, attentive to detail, and reliable are all attributes of every team member.
With the knowledge and access to the latest technologies and innovative products, Newma Power plans to expand in 2023 with more staff and projects ranging from service calls to large projects.

What does New Earth Power Systems mean to us?
We are at a critical point in planet earth's and humanity's history. Our environment and its ecosystems are out of balance due to the developmental progression of the world. We once lived in harmony with the environment for thousands of years. One can look back at history to understand the imbalance and how to correct it.
In the 1760s, the industrial revolution kicked off with the invention of the steam engine, initially fuelling the demand for fossil fuels (FF), primarily coal. In 1882 Thomas Edison installed the first lights in New York, further driving up demand for FF. With the encouragement and support of Edison, in 1886, Henry Ford built his second prototype car and went on to build the Ford Motor Company. In addition to Edison and Ford, Tesla won the "War of Currents" when his "alternating current" (AC) system beat out Edison's "direct current" (DC) system for general power generation and distribution of energy.
All these inventive significant steps forward are all at the expense of the environment. Brillant people thought outside the box, collaborating to create the unthinkable. Little did we know the implications of all these creature comforts we have all grown accustomed to. The resource extraction of stored energy in the form of fossil fuels such as coal, crude oil, and natural gas fuelling industrialization, transportation, and heating must stop if we want to right the course on our environment.
We are very optimistic and believe a zero-emission future is possible. People, communities, countries, and the world are finally uniting to combat a problem we created. Making change happen will take a lot of resources, ingenuity, and capital. Many brilliant people, like Edison, Ford, and Tesla, are working hard in the background to right our course and find zero-emission solutions. We must stop subsidizing oil and gas and divisional wars and support today's brilliant minds and companies diligently working on zero-emission solutions.
Working in the electrical industry, we have seen much change for the better in the past 25 years. LEDs were the first step in leading to a significant reduction in power. Nevertheless, electric cars, modern heat pumps, and higher-efficiency electric motors are just the start of a vast shift that has to take place.
Due to the global challenges, there has been a significant breakdown in the supply chains in the past few years due to the instabilities of different types, plus the increasing fuel cost and the carbon tax cost due to shipping. As a result, there is a growing need for more localized production of food and products and a need to transition to a circular economy.
A close to net zero carbon future is possible. It will take a lot of cooperation, work, education, design, and implementation, but it is our future reality.
We at Newma Power Systems Inc. are committed to empowering, educating, and sharing new technologies and ways to be more energy efficient with our customers. At the same time, cooperate with others in our industry and have some fun along the way. We purchase and promote many local products where we can and embrace the circular economy.
The old easy dirty way of delivering power is ending; we are here to assist in implementing the clean "New Earth Power Systems" that will power our future and right the balance of our environment on this magnificent home we call Earth!
We end this note with a Quote:
"Humankind has not woven the web of life. We are but one thread within it. Whatever we do to the web, we do to ourselves. All things are bound together. All things connect." ~ Chief Seattle
